Pet therapy
It’s impossible to convey everyone's excitement when our furry friends arrive!
Madrid’s Hospital Gregorio Marañón and Seville’s Hospital Virgen del Rocío have both started offering their patients dog therapy sessions, which Aladina delivers in collaboration with the Asociación Perros Azules.
It is often said that pets are medication without side effects. Studies show evidence that regular visits from a therapy dog can provide significant psychosocial benefits to families of children undergoing treatment for cancer, and we can attest to it. Everyone enjoys the dogs’ visits and it is truly special to see their interactions with the children who are alway incredibly happy after every session. We look forward to bringing animal assisted therapy to many more hospitals in the future!
The children really enjoy playing with the dogs who are the best company! The affection of animals is something truly special and their interaction with them helps children improve their communication skills and general wellbeing. We look forward to bringing canine therapy to many more hospitals in the future!
