Lola is an amazing Aladina who’s putting up a strong fight against osteosarcoma without ever losing her smile. Because she’s such a brave and determined girl, we wanted to make her our heroine of the month this month. She’s a wonderful role model!
She shared her story with us with this beautiful message:
“Hello, my name is Lola and I’m 14 years old. I’m hospitalized at the Hospital del Niño Jesús because I have osteosarcoma in my femur.
It was last November when my knee started hurting, and when they did an x-ray they saw what I had. Starting then, I started coming to the hospital to have tests done and in January I started with treatment cycles. I spent Christmas and New Year’s in the hospital, but even with everything I still got presents.
A few weeks ago, I had surgery and since then I’ve continued treatment to get better. Until I’m completely better I’ll stay in the hospital, where they take good care of me. Thanks to the Fundación Aladina, the days go by faster.
I want to send a lot of support and strength to all of those who are fighting like I am.”
We love you lots, Lola! You’re amazing, and we’re sending you a big hug from all of us at Aladina.
