An aircraft with 14 Ukrainian children, and their families, landed in Valencia to continue oncology treatment at the Comunidad Valenciana Paediatric Oncology Units. This operation began with Fundación Aladina’s initial coordination, in collaboration with other paediatric cancer organisations, we deployed the necessary medical and logistic personnel and equipment. This effort has at all times been backed by the Departments of Health, Defence and Inclusion.
ASPANION and AECC took charge of arrival and fostering logistics. The children were transported to Hospital La Fe, Hospital Clínico de Valencia and Hospital General Universitario Dr. Balmis in Alicante, where they are continuing treatment and receiving full assistance.
This effort adds to the successful welcome of 25 children to Madrid and 16 to Barcelona.
