The Kensington School, in Pozuelo(Madrid) has donated all of the money it collected in the Spring Festival held in April to the Fundación Aladina. This is a very special donation because this is the school that Alejandra attended, a 12-year old teenager who unfortunately failed to overcome the disease and with whom we were very close.
Alejandra left us more than ten months ago, but her parents and the school continue to collaborate with the Aladina Foundation. It was therefore decided that all of the proceeds from the charity fair organised by the pupils and staff each year should go to the Fundación Aladina.
“This year it was decided that all of the proceeds from the festival should be given to the Fundación Aladina to help them continue doing the huge work they do here with the hospitalised children and to continue helping other children, just as they did with Ale, so that the hours might pass a little faster,” Ale’s mother assures.
The school also offered informative talks for the children to “understand and be aware of how other children suffer when they are hospitalised for so long,” Alejandra’s mother adds.
