We are very happy to announce that we are going to humanise and refurbish the entire paediatric area of the University Hospital of Toledo (HUTO), a reference hospital in Castilla-La Mancha. A project with a cost of 600,000 euros financed entirely by us.
Our president Paco Arango and the Regional Minister of Health, Jesús Fernández Sanz, have signed the collaboration agreement that will change the lives of hundreds of children with cancer in the province of Toledo. The event was attended by the managing director of the Toledo University Hospital Complex, Sagrario de la Azuela, the general director of Humanisation and Social and Health Care, Maite Marín, our director, Ishtar Espejo, and our ambassadors Eugenia Silva, Tomás Alía and Álvaro Rico.
This humanisation project will include:
- Hospitalisation area
- Day Hospital
- Outpatient clinics
- Waiting rooms
- Corridors and common areas
- Outdoor courtyard
- School space
Designed by the architectural studio of Rai Pinto, the design has been inspired by the Toledo of the Three Cultures, elaborating a narrative of reference to the city’s past.
Soft arches that children can play with; shapes and designs that, in addition to humanising the spaces, will make the stay of our aladinos manchegos much more pleasant. A thousand thanks to all of you who have made it possible for us to be much closer to changing the reality of hundreds of children with cancer.
