We couldn’t be happier to announce that we’ve won the IV “Cuida de Ti” (Take Care of Yourself) award from Mía magazine!
We’re so proud to have been up for the award with 7 other great NGOs from around Spain. We want to congratulate all our co-nominees, and thank the prestigious judging panel who selected us as the winners. The panel included Padre Ángel and the president of the Comunidad de Madrid, Cristina Cifuentes.
Our director, Ishtar Espejo, collected the prize accompanied by Carolina Herrera, who stood in for model Laura Sánchez, who couldn’t be at the celebration. Laura was the face of our foundation during the nominations and judging process.
The Readers’ Award, which came with a grant of 5,000 euros, went to the Federación Española de Bancos de Alimentos (The Spanish Food Bank Federation).
Thank you, thank you, and thank you! This award will be a huge way to help us continue working non-stop for children with cancer.
