The Spanish Society of Paediatric Haematology and Oncology (SEHOP), Fundación Aladina, Fundación Villacecchia and Fundación Josep Carrera, in collaboration with Catalonia based paediatric cancer foundations, organised, this past Friday, the arrival of a second group of children with cancer.
This deployment was possible thanks to the essential collaboration of the following hospitals: Sant Joan de Déu, Vall d’Hebron and Sant Pau. We also thank the joint collaboration of the following paediatric foundations in Catalonia: Asociación contra el Cáncer – Catalunya, AFANOC, Fundación Enriqueta Villavecchia and Fundación Josep Carreras. Interpreters, volunteers and a large number of people have helped with fostering efforts and tendering for the families.
In collaboration, also, with Servei Català de la Salut, the children have been referred to hospitals where they will resume treatment and receive full assistance.
This supportive initiative is the second of its kind in our country, after 25 children with cancer , and their families, arrived in Madrid, two weeks ago.
