Five friends of the Fundación Aladina accepted the challenge of raising 10,000 euros for the organization in one of the hardest and most competitive steeplechases, the Spartan Race, which will take place next May 30th and 31st in Madrid.
Carmen, Leticia, Alfonso, Ignacio y Rafael will have to face physical races as tough as rope climbing, walls, fire, spears, gladiators and scroll wheel or weights, plus travelling a certain distance in mountainous terrain. The Sprint mode entails traveling 5 kilometers and overtaking 15 obstacles. The Spartan race owes its name to the ancient Spartans’ strength and resistance.
As the participants assert, “We are facing this race as a team. We are going to fight to overtake the hardest and toughest obstacles with strength, eagerness and decision, in the same way that all the brave kids fighting cancer must do every day, to whom we dedicate our effort”.
