Inauguration with Jon Rahm of the ‘Golf Garden’ of Niño Jesús

Inauguramos junto a Jon Rahm el ‘Jardín de Golf’ del Niño Jesús

We are delighted to inaugurate with our dear friend Jon Rahm the new ‘Jardín de Golf’ at the Hospital del Niño Jesús, where the hospitalised Aladinos will be able to enjoy this sport whenever they want.

This ‘Golf Garden’, designed by Ramón Barrenechea, has a cost of 60,000 euros and is available to all children and adolescents admitted to the hospital. In addition, we will use this space so that the children with cancer that we care for so lovingly can receive classes several times a week on an exclusive basis.

The installation is approximately 800 square metres in size, with holes of different designs and drops. All with one aim: to make the children admitted to the hospital feel like they are on a golf course.

The ‘Golf Garden’ has been made possible by Irish businessman J.P. McManus, Jon Rahm and Ramón Barrenechea. It has the collaboration of the Hospital Niño Jesús, the Aladina Foundation, the Jon Rahm Golf for Kids Foundation, the Royal Spanish Golf Federation, Callaway and Sport Five.

This is the third time that Jon Rahm has chosen Aladina as the beneficiary organisation of his foundation and collaborates with our projects to help the children with cancer that we care for at Aladina to enjoy the benefits of sport.

Our president Paco Arango, together with the golfer Jon Rahm, the manager of the Niño Jesús Hospital, Julio Zarco, the president of the Madrid Golf Federation, Gonzaga Escauriaza, the General Director of Humanization of the Community of Madrid, Celia García Menéndez and our Director of Hospitals, Lorena Díez, inaugurate this new children’s putting green in the HNJ.
