We collaborate with the Paediatric Emergency Department of the Virgen de Rocío in Seville!

Colaboramos con las Urgencias Pediátricas del Virgen del Rocío en Sevilla

Children and adolescents facing minor medical tests or simple interventions requiring anaesthesia are nervous and under severe stress.

To help them spend that little while in an entertaining way and almost without realising it, we wanted to collaborate with the Paediatric Emergency Department of the Hospital Virgen del Rocío in Seville with the purchase of tablets, headphones, speakers, virtual reality glasses, to the value of 3,000€, which will surely help them to make the moment much more bearable.

The Virgen del Rocío Hospital can perform up to 200 small interventions each year in its Paediatric Emergency Department that require pharmacological sedation, from sewing stitches to administering a small amount of sedation for a more complex diagnostic test. But there are other tests that do not require anaesthesia, but do require children to be calm, such as taking blood or inserting an IV.

Thanks to these early Magi, children and adolescents who come to the ER of the hospital will have their attention focused on a game, a movie or a song, thus reducing their anxiety levels in the face of fear and pain.
