Thanks to the $40,000 donation we have made to the Colombian foundation Sanar, hundreds of Venezuelan children and adolescents with cancer who are refugees in Colombia will be able to access the oncology medications they need to heal, which were impossible to find in their home country.
Through the Sanar Foundation, we have been able to acquire and send to the Mar Caribe Hospital and the National Cancer Institute of Bogotá all the medications that the doctors at these hospitals requested to care for the children, ensuring they have access to the treatments they need to survive.
The mediation of the Sanar Foundation has been key in delivering these essential medications for the treatment of their children to Venezuelan families seeking refuge in Colombia, as Venezuela is experiencing economic and political circumstances that have prevented Aladina from purchasing and distributing such pharmaceuticals to hospitals.
