Our president’s second feature-length movie, “The Healer” (100% of the profits go to charity), keeps on bringing in good news. A few days ago Paco, accompanied by Mexican actress Mariana Treviño, inaugurated the newest “Va Por Mi Cuenta” cafeterias, which were created to help feed at-risk children. This project was made possible thanks to the box office earnings of the movie in Mexico.
The Alsea Foundation’s “Va Por Mi Cuenta” cafeterias now have 11 locations, which feed 4,300 children daily and help 1,800 families. They are wonderful places where the children aren’t just fed, but are also well-cared for and showered with love and affection.
On November 1, “Los Rodríguez y el Más Allá” (The Rodriguezes and the Beyond) will premiere in Mexican cinemas. It’s a family adventure comedy that, like Paco’s two previous films, will also donate proceeds to help children in need through the “Va Por Mi Cuenta” cafeterias and La Casa de la Amistad (The House of Friendship), which cares for children with cancer.
This is yet another success made possible thanks to the movie, which is the first movie to donate 100% of the proceeds to charity. It’s all for the children!
