Our ‘aladinos’ learned healthy cooking with Chefs&Kids

Eneko Atxa (Azurmendi) and Jesús Sánchez (Cenador de Amós) visited our kids at Hospital de Cruces

Our collaboration with Chefs&Kids continues for another year with an event that brought together some of the best chefs around Spain, cooking on behalf of the Fundación Aladina. Our event a few days ago brought some of those chefs together, like Mario Sandoval, Óscar Velasco, Ricardo Sanz, José Carlos García, Juan José Carmona and Marcos Granda. These chefs gave our ‘aladinos’ a super fun gastronomy workshop at the school Le Cordon Bleu Madrid.

Our little ones did so well in the class and learned two recipes: healthy brownies and a fresh fruit salad.

Just a few days before, two decorated chefs, Eneko Atxa (Azurmendi***) and Jesús Sánchez (Cenador de Amós**) visited our little ones who are receiving treatment in Hospital de Cruces in Bilbao. We have two psycho-oncologists at this hospital, and recently redecorated the Pediatric Oncology wing. The chefs spent the morning with the kids and talked to them about the importance of healthy eating.

“I’m so happy to be here with the Aladina kids today; it’s a great opportunity to tell them that they have me as a friend for whatever they need. They will always find support and a voice to help them,” Enero Atxa told us. We are so happy to hear this!

Besides these two great chefs, this coming May 20 Chefs&Kids will convene in Marbella with 27 of the greatest Spanish chefs. They include Martín Berasategui, Ángel León, Paolo Casagrande, Dani García, Elena Arzak, Diego Guerrero, Paco Pérez, Fina Puigdevall, Paco Roncero, Mario Sandoval, Óscar Velasco, Ramón Freixa, Kiko Moya, Ricard Camarena, Erlantz Gorostiza, Ricardo Sanz, Paco Morales, José Carlos García, Benito Gómez, Diego Gallegos, Mauricio Giovanini, Juan José Carmona, Marcos Granda, Juanlu Fernández y Diego del Río. We hope that they will pass on their passion for cooking to all of the kids at the event.

Thank you for choosing us to be a part of this amazing solidarity project!
