Thanks to the generosity of the department store chain El Corte Inglés and their collaboration with MasterChef Junior 8, the Fundación Aladina received more than 2500 toys – a whole 32 pallets’ worth- with which they could play Santa to children and adolescents with cancer in 40 hospitals across Spain.
El Corte Inglés had opened up the toy section of their store at El Bercial in Getafe, Madrid, to the MasterChef Junior 8 program broadcast on TVE. For 2 minutes, the budding chefs had the run of the place to fill their shopping carts with as many toys as they could grab. These toys were then sent to our “aladinos”.
The result? 11 shopping carts stuffed with all kinds of toys, which would have filled 32 pallets, which means more than 2500 toys were donated by El Corte Inglés to children with cancer in hospitals all over Spain.
