The first 100% charity, 100% positive film Paco Arango’s second film hit theaters on February 17, 2017 and from that moment a great wave of solidarity swept through our country and, later, the rest of the world. In Spain, “What Really Matters” achieved 445,000 spectators and grossed 2.7 million euros at the box office. Most importantly, thanks to the proceeds, 1,000 children with cancer from all over Spain will spend an incredible week of vacation in the camps of the Serious Fun Children’s Network, founded by Paul Newman, until 2022.
Millions of viewers outside Spain also shared this solidarity adventure with Paco: for the first time, a film allocated its proceeds to charitable causes. Several entities from Mexico, Colombia, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Brazil, Panama, Peru, Chile, and Guatemala, among others, dedicated to helping children with cancer or other types of needs, were the beneficiaries of the collection in their respective countries. In total, 3.1 million solidarity viewers!
In June 2020 “What Really Matters” was ranked No. 1 on Netflix USA.
