Given the increasing use of MRI for pediatric patients it’s important to find solutions that help avoid the use of sedation. Fundación Aladina has installed a sophisticated audiovisual system to create a child-friendly environment and in-scan entertainment, costing over €100.000!

Since its implementation, children are more relaxed, happier and the sedation rates have dropped by up to 95%.

Also, every patient gets a “MRI adventure book” specifically created to help them understand and make the experience friendlier and less scary. Once the test is over, they get a especial “Bravery badge”!
