Hospital Gregorio Marañón (Madrid)

Fundación Aladina works closely with the Hospital Gregorio Marañón, where we also provide assistance via one of our psycho-oncologists.

We have decorated the new Teenagers’ Unit of the center, thanks to support from the Formica Group, Disney, and the artist Okuda, and have furnished and equipped the Teen Room, a parents’ room, and the new gym. The Teen Room has new furniture, computers, consoles, games, foosball, darts and TV, as well as comfy sofas to help brighten our fighters’ hospital stays.

We’ve also started an animal-assisted therapy program with dogs for children with cancer, done in collaboration with “Perros Azules” (“Blue Dogs”). Thanks to this project, little ones in the hospital will be able to improve their communication skills, as well as their physical and mental condition.

In addition, we have undertaken:

  • The complete refurbishment of the Pediatric Oncohematology Day Hospital
  • Updating the furniture and decoration in the terraces in the Pediatric Oncohematology Unit
  • The creation of a playroom
