It was designed from the ground up through a collaborative process involving patients, families, and healthcare professionals. The result is an environment unlike the traditional hospital setting most people imagine: <strong>private rooms filled with natural light, warm materials throughout, and a 240m\u00b2 terrace <\/strong>where patients can enjoy fresh air whenever their condition allows.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>What Has Been Renovated?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Pediatric wing with 13 private rooms<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Adolescent wing with 7 private rooms<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Bone Marrow Transplant and Advanced Therapies Unit with 8 private rooms<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Children&#8217;s playroom<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Teen lounge<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Parent lounge and dining area<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>New classroom<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>New gym<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Large outdoor feature <strong>soft, warm-toned materials and large glass surfaces to maximize natural light.<\/strong> Color-changing ceiling lights with cloud and airplane designs create a calming atmosphere, while wall decorations inspired by Japan in the adolescent rooms and China in the pediatric rooms bring a sense of imagination and adventure to the space.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Discover the new unit through referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Aladina&#8217;s First Major Project in Catalonia<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This project is especially meaningful for Aladina. <strong>It&#8217;s our first major initiative in Catalonia, and we couldn&#8217;t be prouder to have partnered <\/strong>with two organizations as committed as Fundaci\u00f3n Small and Fundaci\u00f3 Albert Bosch.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>But this is only the beginning. We also <strong>work at Hospital de la Santa Creu i Sant Pau, where we have transformed pediatric oncology areas<\/strong> \u2014 including hallways, patient rooms, and play spaces \u2014 into warmer, more welcoming environments designed with children and their families in mind.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At Hospital Universitario Vall d&#8217;Hebron itself, our work goes far beyond the new facilities. Through our therapy dog program, we bring companionship and joy directly to patients. We also provide a dedicated<strong> psycho-oncology team that supports children, adolescents, and families throughout their cancer journey.<\/strong> We also invest in the future of pediatric medicine through our scholarship program, which supports physicians and other healthcare professionals pursuing specialized training in pediatric oncology.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>A Collective Effort That Made This Possible<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This project is the result of many years of dedication and hard work. But the true protagonists are Aladina&#8217;s warriors and their families. Everything we do is for them.
