Who we are
The moment Paco Arango, our founder, walked through the door of a children’s cancer hospital for the first time in 2001 as a volunteer, he knew that this was the place where he would stay and where he could restore the luck he had had in life.
Four years later, in 2005, he launched the Aladina Foundation.
Since then, we have worked so that no sick child or family ever loses their smile or the desire to fight.
We take care of them with all our love from the moment they arrive at the hospital and we accompany them every day so that they know that they are not alone and feel our unconditional support.
Today, we are a reality from which around 1,500 sick children from all over Spain benefit every year in the 22 hospitals where we collaborate.
In our goal to go further internationally, in 2023 we officially joined UICC, the Union for International Cancer Control that is exclusively dedicated to global cancer control.
The Aladina Foundation team
Over the years we have been creating a large family that works at the service of cancer children and their families.
Everyone at Aladina is absolutely committed to our work and gives the best of ourselves.
Special mention should be made of our team of hospitals, which with incredible sensitivity and professionalism, manage to shed light on situations in which childhood cancer fills everything with darkness.
Our motto?
All for the kids!

Each month and each day have been marked by smiles, battles, victories, and sad farewells. I have etched in my heart and soul every little warrior who has crossed my path; also their parents, who have set an example of courage that's hard to surpass, and the family members, nurses, and doctors with whom we have shared the difficult journey of facing a fierce adversary. Aladina has become something great, more capable, and, without a doubt, childhood cancer now fears us. The team that forms this small family is extraordinary, I assure you. In the office, they fight to secure the necessary funds that drive our hospital improvements; they convey our values and raise awareness by sharing the truth of what we experience. In the hospitals, I have a team of angels who accompany these little warriors every moment tirelessly, across various centers in Spain, supported by wonderful volunteers who offer their kindness. For all these reasons, Aladina is very special. We work tirelessly with only one goal: to ensure that this illness does not steal the smile from any child with cancer. We have done much, but the best is yet to come. Heartfelt thanks to all who have helped us get this far. With affection,Marina Bonfill
