On 15 February we celebrate World Day Against Childhood Cancer and this year we do so with the testimony of Raquel, mother of little Naira, one of our super aladinas:
“Hello
I am Raquel, the mother of a warrior called Naira. In September 2018, when she was about to turn 3 years old, she started to feel tired, had no appetite and didn’t feel like playing.
We took her to the doctor and a simple blood test revolutionised our whole life. Outcome: High-risk acute lymphoblastic leukaemia. We changed the school for the hospital, the friends for nurses and the teacher for the oncologist…
Life didn’t make it easy for him, but together we will reach the finish line holding his hand. No one is free from such a nightmare, that’s why funds are needed for research and for foundations like Aladina to continue helping the children and parents who continue to fight’..
Thank you very much, Raquel and Naira, for your generosity!
