At the Aladina Home, children and their families will have access to therapies and programs designed to improve their quality of life and emotional well-being. Notable activities include therapy dogs, golf, psychological support, various play activities, sports, cinema and theater, rehabilitation in indoor and outdoor pools, and weekend summer camps, among others. These experiences—impossible to provide in a hospital setting—will allow patients, their parents, and siblings to enjoy moments of normalcy away from the clinical environment.
Additionally, the Aladina Home will offer a unique space for families who have lost a child, supporting them through their grieving and recovery process. With this program, Aladina strengthens its commitment to being present at every stage of the illness.
The reality for families with a child battling cancer is extremely complex on all levels; treatment is often lengthy, sometimes lasting years, and families experience significant social isolation. More than 60% of survivors face lifelong side effects from their treatments. That’s why the Aladina Home will become an oasis away from the hospital—surrounded by nature—where visitors can enjoy, share, and nurture their souls.
