Golf course
Installation of 5 terraces for mini golf courses in the pediatric oncology unit.
In partnership with the Seve Ballesteros Foundation, we created a unique facility for learning golf at Hospital Gregorio Marañón. A full-fledged training course with five terraces and a certified instructor every Monday and Tuesday.
The course is divided into five areas: the putting green or mini golf to learn putting, the short game zone to learn how to lift the ball and hit over obstacles, and the long game area to hit the ball as far as possible. A fourth terrace is dedicated to leisure, where parents and children can get some fresh air. The fifth is the playing field, the most spacious, where competitions are held among the young hospitalized golfers.
As Miguel Ballesteros, Seve's son, recalls: "My father created the foundation in 2009 to promote oncology research and the values of golf among young people. I think what he would have loved most is seeing initiatives like this in hospitals. Here you see the change directly—how they smile—because for a while they forget they're hospitalized."
