Since 2019, we have had a team of professionals joining the foundation’s hospital teams to provide children with cancer a unique treatment to combat mucositis, a fairly common oral complication caused by chemotherapy, radiation therapy, and other cancer treatments.
As pioneers in Spain, we offer children in four hospitals in the Community of Madrid—Hospital Universitario Niño Jesús, Hospital Gregorio Marañón, Hospital La Paz de Madrid, and Hospital Doce de Octubre—a treatment for mucositis using low-intensity laser therapy to control the symptoms and causes of oral mucositis.
