The Aladina Foundation is once again collaborating with CRIS against Cancer in a research project with the contribution of €20,000 to advance an innovative clinical trial launched by Dr. Antonio Pérez Martínez, director of the CRIS Advanced Therapies Research Unit at La Paz Hospital.
Cancer patients, because of their weakened immune systems, are a particularly at-risk population, and this innovative clinical trial, launched thanks to private donations and funded by Aladina with €20,000, adapts a cell therapy successfully used in childhood cancer patients to cure new coronavirus diagnosed patients.
Once again, childhood cancer research not only benefits cancer patients, but can also help save lives at risk from other diseases.
