On 11th April, together with the Never Surrender Foundation and Murcia City Council, we presented our first event in the region: SportsFun, the proceeds of which will go towards the construction of a new Paediatric Oncology Gymnasium at the Virgen de la Arrixaca Hospital. The event, which combines sport and fun, will take place next Saturday 20th April in the Chinese Garden in Murcia.
Pilar Torres, councillor for Social Welfare, Family and Health, presented the event together with Ishtar Espejo, director of the Aladina Foundation, and Alberto González-Costea, president of Never Surrender.
For our director Ishtar Espejo, ‘at Aladina we have been committed for years to children with cancer in the Region of Murcia, especially with the Virgen de la Arrixaca Hospital through our work and interventions and the implementation of the Aladina Physical Exercise Programme. Now, the construction of this Gymnasium, which will be enjoyed by all the children admitted to the hospital, is a qualitative leap in our presence in this autonomous community and for this reason we feel very fortunate. Our ambition is to continue to expand our activity in Murcia to improve the lives of more children with cancer and their families.
