Aviation Without Borders offers solidarity jibes for children with cancer

ASF ofrece cabriolas solidarias para los niños con cáncer

Last weekend, the NGO Aviación Sin Fronteras organised a day for several associations for children with cancer, including the Aladina Foundation, where they were able to enjoy a morning of aeronautics with some of Spain’s leading aerobatic pilots.

The morning began with the presence of Juan Velarde, Spanish Aerobatic Flying Champion and Ambassador of Aviación Sin Fronteras, who opened the doors of his hangar so that the children could get close to the Team Velarde 26 aircraft.

After the hangar visit, they were able to witness the training of Juan Velarde and several elite aerobatic pilots. In addition, thanks to the Aviation Group and its simulator, they were able to discover what it feels like to be at the controls of an aircraft.

More than 100 children with cancer and their families were able to enjoy this day thanks to the Alas de la Sonrisa project, which in this way helps our Emotional Support Programme so that no child with cancer loses their smile.
