Don’t miss the fun masks for our aladinos in Virgen de la Arrixaca

No te pierdas las divertidas máscaras para nuestros aladinos

Continuing with our commitment to children with cancer and their families in the Region of Murcia, we are funding a new project at the Hospital Virgen de la Arrixaca in the Radiotherapy Oncology Service.

We know how overwhelming it is for a child to receive radiotherapy treatment and even more so in the case of pathologies affecting the head or neck, where a thermoplastic mask is used.

Thanks to this new project, the healthcare team at Virgen de la Arrixaca personalises the mask according to the image of the child’s favourite character, so that in each session a new piece is added. At the end of the treatment, the child goes home with the mask of their favourite superhero. In this way, radiotherapy is seen as a game for children.

Thanks to this project, it humanises and reduces stress in a situation that can be frightening, helping to make the hospital stay more pleasant.
