From Saturday 17 to Sunday 18 December, El Corte Inglés and the Municipal Transport Company (EMT) are organising a charity initiative so that customers who wish to do so can donate toys and games at the El Corte Inglés Castellana, Goya and Sanchinarro stores, which will go to the Aladina Foundation, which
apoya a niños y adolescentes con cáncer.
On the occasion of this action, the EMT will park its solidarity bus next to the entrance of El Corte Inglés de Castellana, from where it will offer information related to this initiative. In addition, at the El Corte Inglés centre in Sanchinarro, the EMT will install another of its solidarity buses to give visibility to this initiative. Under the slogan ‘Buy one more toy and donate it’, EMT volunteers and El Corte Inglés staff will manage the collection of new toy donations at the Castellana, Goya and Sanchinarro shops.
The Aladina Foundation will distribute the donated toys and new games to children and adolescents with cancer in the hospitals with which it collaborates. In order to reinforce this solidarity initiative promoted by EMT, El Corte Inglés will contribute to this action by donating to the Aladina Foundation the same number of toys and games delivered by its customers.
The president of the Aladina Foundation, Paco Arango, has pointed out that ‘.Once again this year, the Three Wise Men are transformed into people as generous as El Corte Inglés and EMT. These charity toys will bring hundreds of smiles to many deserving sick children. The help and love we received is priceless, thank you!”.
For El Corte Inglés it is a pleasure to participate once again in an action with the Aladina Foundation, on this occasion with the help and under the initiative of the EMT. Once again this year, El Corte Inglés reaffirms its absolute commitment to the Three Wise Men and Father Christmas by collaborating with various organisations in the donation of toys.
