Las Rozas Town Council solidarity campaign

Campaña solidaria del Ayuntamiento de Las Rozas

See you this Friday 18th at 19:00h at Heron City CC.

On the occasion of International Childhood Cancer Day, Las Rozas Town Council is organising an awareness campaign to help raise awareness of the reality and needs of children and adolescents with cancer. The presentation of this campaign will take place this Friday 18th in an event that will take place in Heron City at 7pm, and will be attended by the president and founder of Aladina, Paco Arango, together with the mayor of Las Rozas, José de la Uz, and other members of the Corporation.

The group of Civil Protection volunteers of the municipality will raise funds for this cause through the sale of a yellow Solidarity Patch. A table will be set up in Heron City so that local residents can collaborate with this solidarity campaign by buying both patches and yellow scarves. At the event, which will be hosted by Carlos Moreno ‘El Pulpo’, there will also be a performance by the students of the Escuela Municipal de Danza Pilar López and the roceño group Dimana.

In addition, the City Council illuminated the façade of its building and the Puerta de Las Rozas bridge over the A-6 and, in collaboration with the Social Services, Culture and Sports departments, distributed 5,000 yellow scarves among the sports clubs of Las Rozas, so that throughout the week they could wear the scarf in the competitions held and appear in the photographs of these competitions.
