MI OTRO JON, which is already in cinemas all over Spain, is a comedy that celebrates life and that, like all the films of our beloved presi Paco Arango, is 100% charitable to help children suffering from cancer through the Aladina Foundation. In its first weekend, Mi otro Jon has been the most watched Spanish film and the sixth at the box office.
It has a great cast, headed by Carmen Maura and with the performances of Olivia Molina, Fernando Albizu and Carlos Santos starring in this comedy along with Aitana Sánchez-Gijón, Marisol Ayuso, María José Alfonso, María Luisa Merlo, Enrique Villén and with the participation of Ana García Obregón and Macarena Gómez.
Merche (Carmen Maura) receives the bad news that she has little time left to live. She decides to fulfil the impossible dreams of her three best friends (Marisol Ayuso, María José Alfonso and María Luisa Merlo). Finally, he also wants to fulfil his own wish: to see the sea for the last time by visiting the island of La Palma. His delicate health situation prevents him from travelling, but a brilliant scientist (Aitana Sánchez-Gijón) offers him a solution. He will introduce Merche’s soul into the body of a recently deceased person for three days, so that she can fulfil her dream. That body is that of Jon (Fernando Albizu), a big Basque truck driver. So Merche will ‘enjoy’ her last days with her daughter (Olivia Molina) on the Canary Island.
