What great news! Our president Paco Arango has donated one euro for every spectator who saw his latest film, ‘Los Rodríguez y el Más Allá’, in cinemas. In total, €244,269 will go towards comprehensive support for children with cancer.
From the moment he directed his first film, Paco Arango knew that cinema could do a lot of good. That is why each of his films has had a solidarity objective, all of them collaborating to help children with cancer through Aladina.
Arango has been the precursor of solidarity cinema in Spain, his films have shown that a different way of making films is possible. The proceeds from his debut film, Maktub (2011), were used to finance the construction of the Bone Marrow Transplant Unit at the Hospital del Niño Jesús in Madrid, in the Maktub centre. Lo que de verdad importa (2017), the first ever 100% charity film, financed programmes of different foundations and non-governmental organisations in more than 15 countries and made it possible for 1,000 children and adolescents with cancer to attend international camps.
Thank you presi for your generosity!
