The artist Enrique Manuel Aparicio organises a solidarity exhibition in favour of Fundación Aladina in Valencia.
The 25 charitable works by Enrique Manuel Aparicio will be on display at the Casa de la Cultura in Ontinyent (Valencia) from 20 January to 12 February, and 100% of the profits from sales will go to support programmes for children and adolescents with cancer, as well as their families.
‘Since I started painting this series of pictures, I knew that they would have a charitable purpose, but I wasn’t sure what it would be… until I contacted the Aladina Foundation! The aim of the proceeds would be for psychological care and bereavement support. All the works respond to a specific moment, a state of mind, a situation, … almost always provoked by the news that had been arriving since the beginning of 2020’.
The exhibition consists of both original pieces and reinterpretations of classics, all in watercolour and mixed media on paper. The aim is to chronicle, in a very particular way, what he experienced during the pandemic, with the pictures painted by the artist during that period.
