On World Childhood Cancer Day, thousands of schools, hospitals, companies, volunteers, city councils and autonomous communities throughout Spain are joining the #PañueloChallengeAladina, the great wave of solidarity in support of children with cancer, on 15 February.
The Mayor of Madrid, José Luis Martínez-Almeida, together with the Deputy Mayor Begoña VIllacís, EMT volunteers and Icíar, the little warrior who is the star of this year’s #PañueloChallengeAladina campaign, raise awareness of childhood cancer together with Paco Arango and the Aladina Foundation team.
The EMT has wrapped a bus with the image of the campaign, the 152, the line that passes by Iciar’s house.
The Aladina Foundation wants to pay tribute to children and adolescents with cancer who lose their hair due to cancer treatments. To this end, it has invited the whole of society to wear a headscarf as a tribute to children who lose their hair as a result of treatment. This year more than a thousand schools, public hospitals, hundreds of town councils, companies and collaborators are joining the #PañueloChallengeAladina in solidarity with children and adolescents suffering from the disease.
