Throughout this school year, the Aladina Foundation has managed to raise almost €200,000 from the more than 1,000 schools that have participated in our annual campaign of solidarity activities for schools, all of which will be used to fund the Young Oncologists’ Scholarship programme.
Next year, the Aladina Foundation’s Young Oncologists Scholarship programme will fund no less than 6 young paediatric oncology professionals to be trained in Spanish public hospitals:
- Gregorio Marañón Hospital, Madrid (2)
- Hospital Niño Jesús de Madrid (1)
- Hospital Virgen del Rocío in Seville (1)
- Albacete University Hospital (1)
- Vall d’Hebron Hospital, Barcelona (1)
Thanks to the collaboration of all the solidarity schools that have participated in any of the activities proposed by Aladina, 1059 from all over Spain, mostly through the Pañuelo Challenge, the largest national action to raise awareness of childhood cancer on 15 February (World Child Cancer Day), we have raised a total of €193,771.23, which from this academic year will be used to finance the Scholarship programme for Young Oncologists.
