To close the #PañueloChallengeAladina, our major campaign to raise awareness of childhood cancer at a national level, we held an event at Madrid City Hall in which the families of Aladina participated together with the Mayor José Luis Martínez-Almeida and EMT volunteers.
First we had an event in the Plaza de Cibeles next to the bus with the image of Raúl and Claudia, the Aladinos who are the protagonists of the Pañuelo Challenge 2024. Afterwards, we had an emotional event-colloquium in the assembly hall of the Town Hall.
The talk highlighted the experiences of paediatric patients as well as survivors and their families. Our president Paco Arango participated along with Benedetta Poletti, director of ELLE magazine, our Director of Hospitals Lorena Díez and Javier Gardón, Director General of Families and Children of Madrid City Council. Alongside them were the main protagonists of this event: Telma Cavallé (14 years old) with her mother Maribel Blanco, Eloy Martín (18 years old) and his mother Gemma Navarro and Andrea Ruano (31 years old). The event was closed by José Fernández, Madrid City Council’s Delegate for Social Policies.
Thank you all for helping us to close such an important month for us with this beautiful event. Everyone’s solidarity is essential to ensure that children with cancer, and their families, have all the support they need during and after treatment.
