We donated $500,000 to Lebanon’s leading children’s cancer centre!

Aladina dona 500.000$ al principal centro de ayuda a niños con cáncer en Líbano

Great news from Aladina! We have made a donation of $500,000 to the Children’s Cancer Center of Lebanon (CCCL), the main centre for children with cancer in Lebanon, which after the explosion that shook Beirut last August, is experiencing an emergency situation.

This wonderful contribution has been made possible thanks to the generosity of our president Paco Arango, who did not want Aladina to have to resort to membership fees and has therefore donated this amount entirely to the foundation.

One of the most expensive treatments, and one for which the CCCL had run out of resources and response capacity, is bone marrow transplantation, the last chance of survival for many children with cancer.

Walid, a little two and a half year old warrior who has been battling leukaemia since his first months of life and with no chance of treatment, will be the first patient to receive a transplant and with it a hope of surviving cancer.

With this important contribution, and coinciding with our forthcoming 15th anniversary, we are strengthening our programme of international aid to organisations that help sick or needy children with an enormous commitment.
