We inaugurated the new Paediatric Oncology Day Hospital at La Paz. At a cost of 1,200,000 € and with a surface area of 800m2, more than 500 children with cancer will pass through its facilities every year for 4,000 consultations.
The new La Paz Paediatric Oncology Day Hospital is a project entirely financed by Aladina, with the collaboration of the Nemesio Diez Foundation, the Mutual Medica Foundation, the ACS Foundation, Taiga Mistral and the Telefónica Foundation.
It is part of the programme of hospital improvements that we have been implementing since 2008 with the aim of converting the spaces where sick children spend so much time in hospital into friendlier, more comfortable places adapted to their needs.
The new Day Hospital has:
- Two Day Hospital areas: one for transplant patients and the other for onco-haematological patients, both with isolation boxes for more delicate patients.
- Two waiting rooms: one for transplant patients and another room separated into two distinct areas, one for oncohaematological patients and the other for contagious patients.
The well-being of patients and their families is a priority for us, thank you all for helping us to change the lives of so many children!
