We inaugurate the humanized pediatric area at the Hospital de Toledo

Together with Emiliano García-Page, President of Castilla-La Mancha, we unveiled the newly renovated pediatric unit at the Hospital Universitario de Toledo. This space allows children to remain children while receiving treatment, creating an environment where patients and families can find comfort and moments of happiness despite being in a hospital.

This ambitious project required a €600,000 investment, fully covered by the Foundation, and creates facilities that match the excellence of this hospital and its exceptional medical team.

The new space incorporates architectural elements reflecting Toledo’s historical and cultural heritage, including arches featuring words in Spanish, Latin, Hebrew, and Arabic. These thoughtful details not only enhance the space aesthetically but also encourage discovery and wonder—particularly important for children during extended hospital stays.

Explore every detail of the transformation: inpatient rooms, day hospital, outpatient clinics, waiting areas, hallways, common spaces, outdoor patio, and the school classroom.

A commitment to emotional well-being in healing spaces

This initiative strengthens our commitment to creating hospital environments that support emotional well-being throughout the treatment journey. It’s part of our national program that provides infrastructure support to hospitals across Spain.

It also complements other groundbreaking efforts in the region, including our donation of the first pediatric exoskeleton for adolescents with spinal cord injuries.

Thank you to everyone who made this meaningful project possible!
